Wooden Nickel

Peated Bock

A German a Scott and an Iowan walk into a bar and... an entirely unique beer was invented. Traditional German yeast, hops and techniques, paired with the smoky flavor from Scottish malts, all somehow born in Iowa.

Tasting Notes

The aroma and flavor of this beer are dominated by peat character. These earthy smoke notes are reminicent of coffee yet definitely different. The flavor is rounded out by malty character, resulting in a sessionable lager.  The color is a deep amber and the body is light and drinkable. There is no discernible hop aroma.
