Belgian monks still recount the tale of a menacing murderhorn, whose ominous notes bellowed across the waters before each viking raid. Today the Murderhorn legacy lives on as a Golden Strong Ale, both delicious and dangerous. Be ready when you hear its cry...a night to remember is ahead of you.
The beer pours deep gold with a bit of haze from the yeast. The nose is dominated by Belgian yeast fruit notes with no discernable hop aroma. This carries thru in the flavor, once again with the yeast character dominating and hops only present for balance. There is a dry finish with a touch of alcohol heat.
