BACKPOCKET BREWING TO SHOW OUTDOOR MOVIES EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT
Backpocket Brewing, a production brewery and taproom located in the Iowa River Landing in Coralville, IA, is pleased to announce "Movies on the Beer Garden", a summer-long series of outdoor movie showings on Backpocket's large and comfortable patio, beginning the evening of June 20.
The films will be shown on an 18-foot inflatable screen, and will begin shortly after sunset every Thursday night. Admission is free and open to the public. The taproom will be open and normal hours will be observed so that moviegoers may enjoy one of Backpocket's fine craft beers and stone-fired artisan pizzas. In addition to their regular four styles, as always, Backpocket will be serving an assortment of seasonal and specialty beers as well as a rotating soda, made in-house.
"We think Movies on the Beer Garden will be a great event for the community," said co-owner and brewmaster, Jake Simmons. "Iowa summer nights are ideal for enjoying the company of friends and family, and our beer garden just also happens to be an ideal location for this. Add in an outdoor movie and you have a winning combination."
Movies shown thus far are "The Goonies", "Army of Darkness", "The Big Lebowski", "Ghostbusters", "Caddyshack" and "Dumb and Dumber".
"Movies on the Beer Garden" will continue throughout the remainder of the summer and early fall. Movie selections are regularly voted for on the brewery's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/BackpocketBrewing
